We really can't praise Antony enough, he took our underconfident year 7 and allowed her to flourish. He treated her with warmth and respect and always seemed to know when the "yes I get it" perhaps wasn't as solidified as it could have been and would approach the problem from a different solution. Our 11 year old came away from each lesson buzzing with confidence and excitement having learned some new way to tackle things that she had lacked the confidence to do in the past.
Antony let her explore at a pace that worked for her and was always calm and upbeat. We actually ended up keeping the lessons going after she hit her target as she wanted to explore different approaches to maths, again Antony expertly guided her through new and interesting areas that she normally wouldn't have accessed. We finished the lessons with a confident child with praise from her school on her ability in this subject. We couldn't recommend Antony enough.

My son was really struggling with maths A-level. We found Antony following a recommendation from a friend. My son really clicked with him and found the sessions invaluable. Although he attended all of the extra help sessions available at school, and did lots of independent learning and tutorials online, it was only the sessions with Antony where things really fell into place. It would have been a disaster without his input! Antony was very efficient in his communications and offered regular phone calls to update me on his progress. At the start of sixth form I was really struggling with A-level physics and felt I wasn’t being supported enough by my teachers so we decided to get a tutor.
Antony has been a huge help and basically got me through the A-level course. He has a great way with explaining topics and always has another approach if I can’t wrap my head around the first one. My daughter Lillie has been tutored in maths by Antony for the past three years. We first contacted Antony because, having once enjoyed maths, Lillie had lost confidence in her ability and was starting to hate it at GCSE. Antony took great interest in getting to know Lillie as a person and did such a good job of reviving her enjoyment of maths that she got an A* at GCSE and decided to take it at A level! He is consistently patient and gives very clear, step-by-step explanations. He is able to provide comprehensive background information about the mechanisms and workings of maths for students like Lillie who need to understand maths in a more general context. He welcomes questions and queries and will happily offer alternative explanations until a point is fully understood. Antony is a kind person and concerned about the general well-being of his students. He understands the pressure of exams and is a very calming influence on stressed students.
